Your upload and your choices

We automatically process your video, filename, timing markers, scramble, crop and masks to reconstruct your solve. We store the resulting moves, report and technical diagnostics, linked to your account or guest session.

Your uploads are private

Your video and report are not publicly listed or added to the public demonstration. You access them through your account or guest session. Automated processing workers access your footage to create the reconstruction under either choice below.

Sharing a solve

Creating a share link makes the filename, video including the original upload, scramble and reconstruction accessible to anyone with the link, including social preview services. Private feedback and account details are excluded. Stop sharing from the report to disable that link; previously saved copies and platform previews may remain. Sharing does not change your training or human-review consent.

You choose for every solve

Every upload has two options. “Allow training and review of footage” is selected initially; your choice applies only to the solve you submit. It is not saved as an account-wide preference.

  • Allow training and review of footage. By choosing “Upload and allow training & review”, you give permission for our team to view this footage and its reconstruction, including corrections, and use them to train and evaluate our systems. We try to classify every failure; review can help explain why a failed reconstruction didn’t work. It does not guarantee a successful reconstruction or an individual review.
  • Don’t allow training or review. No one on our team will look at this footage, and it will not be used to train our systems. Staff access to the video, frame images and reconstruction diagnostics is disabled. Automated reconstruction still runs, and you keep the same access to your report. We cannot investigate its footage to give you a human explanation of a failure.

Changing your mind

We record your choice, its timestamp and the notice version. Open “Manage consent” on the solve’s report to turn training and human review on or off, then save your choice. Turning it off stops future training and human review. This does not remove your report or change reconstruction access. Withdrawal cannot undo reviews or training that already happened with your permission.

Problem reports and developer feedback

Problem descriptions are shared privately with the FlowTimer team and stored with your solve. Developer feedback is visible to you; failure classifications are visible only to staff. Reporting a problem does not change your training or footage-review choice. The Discord invitation opens a separate community; your video, report and feedback are not automatically posted there.

Storage and retention

Videos and diagnostics are stored outside the public website directory. This Preview currently retains uploads, reports, problem reports and developer feedback and diagnostics until they are removed by the team; there is no automatic expiry. Retention does not grant permission for training or human review. Temporary processing files for solves without permission are removed when the worker finishes, including failed attempts.

Your rights and questions

To request access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or to raise a privacy concern, contact the team through Flowtimer ↗ and include the report ID. Do not send your video again. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Keep your guest session or sign in so we can identify which uploads belong to you.
